SuSE Linux is a Linux distribution founded and produced in Germany. It is currently owned by Novell. S.u.S.E is an acronym for the German phrase "Software- und System-Entwicklung" ("Software and system development") and even though Novell uses an uppercase "u", I refuse to do so ;-)
History
I have been actively using SuSE as my primary OS since 1999 (starting with version 6.3). I am currently using openSuSE.
