I am a firm believer in standards and I try to incorporate these into any of my designs. My belief in standards is not just limited to the Internet. I am in favour of International Standards wherever we can find a way to have them.
List of standards
Below is an incomplete list of standards I try to implement in my work.
- Système international d'unités (SI) — the modern form of the metric system
- W3C / XHTML / CSS / Microformats
- BibTeX
- International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
- ISO 9126 — an international standard for the evaluation of software
- ISO 216 — specifies international standard (ISO) paper sizes
- ISO 3166 — a three-part geographic coding standard for coding the names of countries and dependent areas, and the principal subdivisions thereof.
- ISO 5218 — defines a representation of human sexes.
- ISO 8601 — date and time representations.
- ISO 9660 — defines a file system for CD-ROM media.
This article is curently a "stub". This means it is an incomplete article needing further elaboration.
