WordPress is a blog publishing system written in PHP and backed by a MySQL database.

I am using this application for my personal blog.

Install WordPress

Note: This install is for CentOS 7

mysql -u root -p
mysql> CREATE DATABASE wordpress;
mysql> CREATE USER wp_user@localhost IDENTIFIED BY 'password';
mysql> GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON wordpress.* TO 'wp_user'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'password';
mysql> FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
mysql> exit
sudo yum install php-gd
sudo systemctl restart httpd.service
cd ~
wget http://wordpress.org/latest.tar.gz
tar zxvf latest.tag.gz
sudo rsync -avP ~/wordpress/ /var/www/html/
mkdir /var/www/html/wp-content/uploads
sudo chown -R apache:apache /var/www/html/*
cd /var/www/html
# Configure:
cp wp-config-sample.php wp-config.php
vi wp-config.php # edit the following:
/** The name of the database for WordPress */
define('DB_NAME', 'wordpress');

/** MySQL database username */
define('DB_USER', 'wp_user');

/** MySQL database password */
define('DB_PASSWORD', 'password');

Complete the installation via a web browser using you server's IP.
